A partnership between the Wabasso High School and Kibble Equipment has received a $10,239 LYFT Pathways Innovation award to develop and implement a Diesel Mechanics class for their seniors. Seniors attending Wabasso High School that are interested in diesel mechanics as a career pathway will have the opportunity to be exposed to the occupation and career on-site at Kibble Equipment in Wabasso, MN.
Students will learn in the shop, during the school day, alongside current Kibble Equipment Diesel Mechanic staff and leadership through experiential hands-on learning about diesel mechanics, shop safety and machine repair.
Kibble Equipment has agreed to sponsor and support those students that successfully complete the Diesel Mechanics course to receive the education and credentialing required to work as an employee, specifically, a Diesel Mechanic for Kibble Equipment.
