Yellow Medicine East and Lakeview High Schools, Southwest Minnesota State University, Pioneer Public TV and FilmNorth received a $20,000 LYFT Pathways Grant to help students to write and produce professional videos.

Students will have access to professional equipment; Public TV professional studio space; and mentorship from Pioneer TV and FilmNorth production staff as they create their videos. The SMSU Communication Studies program staff will provide tours of their studios and meet with students to talk about technical skills and the career paths available to them.

During the 2021-22 school year, 25 students took this course.
