EMT - New London-Spicer and Paynesville Schools
New London-Spicer and Paynesville Schools, Ridgewater College, Centra Care and New London Ambulance received a $10,000 LYFT Pathways grant for the development of a shared EMT course.
The class will provide students training in pre-hospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with various medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study will include anatomy, physiology, trauma care and patient transportation, to name a few. Upon passing the registry cognitive exam and psychomotor exam, these students will become Nationally Registered EMTs.
During the 2021-22 school year, 18 students took this course.
