- Resource
If you have partnered with LYFT Career Pathways in the past, you know our organization is about sharing resources and programs throughout southwest Minnesota that create clear pathways for our students to pursue after high school. We believe in collaborating with schools, students and employers to meet their needs locally. Recently at the CTE (Career Technical Education) Works! Summit, we learned of free resources being used successfully by our neighbors across the state that we are excited to share.
Free Work-Based Learning Resources for Any Classroom
During the Teaching Essential Skills in Any Classroom presentation by Meri Johnson, Senior Account Manager, Realityworks, she shared free work-based resources available to our schools. As LYFT Career Pathways works hard to connect students, school and employers together, we found these resources very impactful and useful for the classroom.

More About the CTE Works! Summit
On October 27, 2023, LYFT Career Pathways traveled to Mankato, MN to attend the CTE Works! Summit held at South Central College.
The goal, said SCC Cooperative Regional Career and Technical Education Coordinator Kim Mueller, is for teachers, counselors and administrators to take what they learn and implement it in their school districts and communities.
“So the whole thought is to learn what’s out there, learn what’s in our region, learn what’s available to them and then be able to take and do some great things with it,” she said.
The event included a variety of sessions. The sessions attended by LYFT Career Pathways included Resources for Work-Based Learning, Teaching Essential Skills in Any Classroom: Tips & Ideas for Student Engagement, and Insights on Work-Based Learning Partnerships: A Workforce Panel.
With sincere gratitude and appreciation for the South Central Perkins Consortium, LYFT Career Pathways is thrilled to share these amazing resources with you!
